This home was used as Richard Dreyfuss and Bette Midler’s home in the comedy Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986). The inside of the house and the backyard were actually made on a Disney back lot.

According to a story in the Wall Street Journal, this home's current owner, grocery story magnate Ronald Burkle, has taken out $56 million in loans against two of his homes, including this one. Former president Bill Clinton is reportedly a fan of the house, and recently spent the night there. Burkle has declined to say how he's using the money from the home loans. Traditionally, folks as rich as Burkle have stayed away from home loans, but that changed during the real estate boom of the early 00's.
