Incredible Hulk director spends $2.561M in Los Angeles

Louis Leterrier and Beatrice Leterrier bought a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 3206 Deronda Dr. in Los Angeles from Kenneth E. Klawitter for $2.561 million on June 25.

The 3,650-square-foot house was built in 1927.

Mr. Leterrier is a filmmaker. He directed this year's The Incredible Hulk, which starred Edward Norton and Liv Tyler. He is also the director of the films Unleashed with Jet Li, and The Transporter 2 with Jason Statham.

He got his start in the film industry as a production assistant on Alien: Resurrection. When he returned to France, he served as French director Luc Besson's assistant on the film The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc. He later worked as second assistant director on Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatre and L'idole.

In 2002, Leterrier returned to the U.S. and worked as a artistic director for Besson's film The Transporter.

Prior to moving to U.S., Leterrier won several awards for his short films.

He attended New York University.
