Aeronautical engineer sells Pasadena 3BD for $1.6M

Dr. Frank E. Marble and Ora Lee Marble sold a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 1691 San Pasqual St. in Pasadena to Nicholas M. Conrad and his wife, Jenny C. Liao, for $1,655,500 on July 11.

The Marbles acquired the 2,924-square-foot house for $730,000 in June 1992.

Dr. Marble has served as professor emeritus of mechanical engineering and jet propulsion in the Graduate Aerospace Laboratories at the California Institute of Technology. He also was central in developing courses in jet propulsion.

Prior to that, he was a visiting professor at Cornell University in New York and a member of the advisory group for Aeronautical Research and Development of NATO. He also managed a research project in the NACA Engine Research Lab in Cleveland, Ohio.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at Case School of Applied Science in Ohio and a Ph.D. from Caltech University.
