Comedian Katt Williams buys in Malibu

Comedian Katt Williams bought a six-bedroom, seven-bath home at 20515 Abercrombie Lane in Malibu from Carl W. Stubner and Erica Stubner for $3.33 million on July 10.
 
The 8,259-square-foot home was built in 2005.
 
Williams, 35, is a comedian and actor whose career dates back to the late 1990's. A stand-up comic with roots that trace back to The Improv, The Icehouse and The Comedy Club, he worked his way up through television appearances on BET and eventually broke through to the mainstream with a turn as "Money Mike" in the 2002 comedy Friday After Next, starring Ice Cube and Mike Epps.

He has since appeared in his own HBO stand-up special "Katt Williams: Pimp Chronicles, Part I" and films such as Epic Movie, Norbit and First Sunday, starring Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan. He is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and nearby Dayton.

Mr. Stubner is a television and video producer whose projects include ZZ Top: Live from Texas, Alanis Morissette: The Collection and the short-lived reality show "Tommy Lee Goes to College."
 
There have been 89 sales in Malibu in 2008, with a median sales price of $867,500.
