Actors Bad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought a two bedroom, two-bath home at 5756 Oak Valley Dr. in Griffith Park for $1.1 million from the Anne Tyler Sherman trust on Aug. 11.

The 3,323-square-foot home was built in 1920.

Pitt, 46, is a two-time Oscar nominee and one of the leading men in Hollywood. His hit films date back to the mid 1990s, and he's picked up acting Oscar nominations for the 1995 sci-fi hit Twelve Monkeys and for his turn as the title character in director David Fincher's 2008 drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Pitt most recently teamed with director Quentin Tarantino as a World War II Nazi-hunter in Inglorious Basterds, and will appear in 2010 with Sean Penn in Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life.

Other Pitt blockbusters include the Ocean's 11 trilogy, Troy, Se7en, Fight Club, Snatch, Interview with the Vampire and A River Runs Through It.

Jolie, 34, is an Oscar-winning actress and one of the highest-paid actresses in the industry. She first made a splash as an emotionally disturbed woman in a psychiatric ward in the 2000 hit Girl, Interrupted, for which she earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She earned another nomination in 2009 for her work in Clint Eastwood's 1920s-era drama The Changeling.

Jolie -- who is the daughter of acclaimed actor Jon Voight -- most recently starred as an assassin in the 2008 hit Wanted and will appear in 2010's spy thriller Salt. Her other hits include A Mighty Heart, Alexander, Laura Croft: Tomb Raider, Original Sin and Gone in Sixty Seconds.

The couple famously developed their relationship during their collaboration on the 2005 spy film Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 129 home sales in Griffth Park/Los Felix during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $850,000.
