Rachel Khedoori bought a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 2513 Third St. in Santa Monica from Sonia Rosario for $1.475 million on June 8.

Rosario paid $700,000 for the property in Oct. 2005. The 1,307-square-foot house is located in the Vawters subdivision in Ocean Park.

Ms. Khedoori is an artist and has worked as visiting professor in the Academy of Art in Malm, Sweden.

She holds a B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute and an M.F.A. from the University of California-Los Angeles.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 470 home sales in Santa Monica during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $795,000.
