Hilary Duff bought a five-bedroom, five-bath home at 12092 Summit Circle in Studio City from Julie Kay Araskog for $3.85 million on June 1.

The 5,260-square-foot Georgian Colonial was built in 1987.

Duff is an actress and singer who first gained wide recognition as the star of the Disney Channel's "Lizzy McGuire". She has also appeared in films such as Cheaper By The Dozen and The Lizzy McGuire Movie.

She has sold more than 13 million records and has three platinum records, the latest of which was 2007's Dignity. In early 2010 it was announced that she was engaged to NHL player Mike Comrie.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 380 sales in Studio City during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $626,000.
