Jurca is a professor of English at the California Institute Technology. Her research focuses on twentieth-century American literature and film.

She earned her bachelor's from the University of California and her master's from Johns Hopkins University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,055 home sales in Glendale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $465,000.
