Value investing V.P. buys $2.65M Santa Monica 4BD

Mark Landecker and Ginh Landecker bought a four-bedroom, four-bath home at 710 23rd St. in Santa Monica from Donald Eric Remensperger and Elizabeth Tate Remensperger for $2.65 million on Aug. 30.

The 2,848-square-foot house sold for $2.889 million in September 2005. It was built in 1937 in North of Montana.

Mr. Landecker is a vice president at First Pacific Advisors, a value investing company. He serves as portfolio manager for the FPA Global Opportunity Fund, and is also a research analyst for the Contrarian Value Strategy and FPA Hawkeye Strategy. Prior to joining FPA, he served as a portfolio manager at both Kinney Asset Management and Arrow Investments Inc. He also has experience in corporate finance, consulting and private equity.

He earned a bachelor's degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Remensperger is a real estate attorney. He is a partner at the Los Angeles office of the law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP. He serves as head of the firm's West Coast Real Estate Group.

He holds a B.A. from Manhattanville College and received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 437 home sales in Santa Monica in the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $844,000.
