Family law attorney pays $1.5M in Redondo Beach

Medium ca4ce23d3f3f29c8feb4024574724180 Shelly Heimanson and Shmuel Dovid Newman bought a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 2615 160th St. in Redondo Beach from Charles and Teresa Hymowitz for $1.5 million on July 1.

The Hymowitzes paid $770,000 for the property in Aug. 2008. The 4,028-squre-foot home in North Redondo Beach was built in 2010.

Heimanson is an attorney at Voss, Silverman & Braybrooke, a law firm in Marina del Rey. She concentrates her practice on family law litigation and child custody matters. She joined the firm from Trope and Trope in Los Angeles.

She has a B.A. in performing arts and psychology from the University of Rochester and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.

Mr. Hymowitz is the CEO of AEI Systems, a space and power electronics engineering firm headquartered in Los Angeles. He previously served as co-CEO of SalesMountain.com, as COO at Intusoft and as an engineering scientist at McDonnell Douglas Astronautics.

He attended UCLA and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey - New Brunswick.

The Hymowitzes bought a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 1909 Magnolia Ave. in Manhattan Beach for $1.9 million on July 1.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 444 home sales in Redondo Beach during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $635,000.
