Scott Gillen bought a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 3520 Cross Creek Lane in Malibu from Richard A. Rouse and Iby M. Rouse for $3.825 million on Nov. 14.

The Rouses paid $3.2625 million for the property in April 2005. The 3,574-square-foot house, which was built in 1972, is in the Las Flores neighborhood.

Mr. Gillen is a stunt driver turned commercial director, who has worked for clients such as Lexus, Ford, Nissan and NASCAR.

He is also the producer of the Speed Channel’s "Build or Bust", a 60-minute motorcycle construction reality show, and "Setup," which follows 12 amateur race car drivers in a racing competition.

There were 135 home sales in Malibu in 2008, with median sales price of $2.495 million.
