Hall of Famer Robin Yount sells in Manhattan Beach

Medium c631d3ad318d5c2c8ef1d08164c76724 Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Robin Yount sold a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 1205 Bayview Dr. in Manhattan Beach to Brian Dicker and Leslie Dicker for $1.9275 million on Feb. 18.

Yount acquired the property for $2.150 million in Aug. 2006.

The 2,121-square-foot house was built in 1991.

Yount, 53, was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999 after 19 years as the face of the franchise for the Milwaukee Brewers. A two-time American League MVP in 1982 and 1989, Yount retired in 1993 as the club's career leader in nearly every hitting category, including 3,142 hits, 251 home runs and a .285 career batting average. He amassed more hits in the 1980s than any other player and led the Brewers to their only World Series appearance in 1982.

Since his retirement, Young spent two years as a bench coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2002-04) and has also served as a bench coach with the Brewers. He is originally from Woodland Hills, where he attended William Howard Taft High School.

There were 315 sales in Manhattan Beach in 2008, with a median price of $1.535 million.
