Leonardo DiCaprio selling Malibu 4BD for $7.999M

Medium df629c9c7ec805c045d89017eba91a21 Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has listed for sale his four-bedroom, two-bath home at 32628 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu for $7.999 million.

DiCaprio paid $6.35 million for the 2,374-square-foot home in Central Malibu, in Feb. 2007. It was built in 1954.

Katie Bentzen of Bentzen Levin Real Estate, Inc., is the listing agent for the home.

DiCaprio, 34, is a three-time Academy Award nominee and has been one of the leading men in Hollywood since his role in the 1997 blockbuster Titanic. Since his turn as the irrepressible Jack Dawson in director James Cameron's winner of 11 Oscars, DiCaprio has appeared in hits such as Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, The Departed and last year's Revolutionary Road. He earned Oscar nods for his roles in The Aviator and Blood Diamond, as well as for his 1993 turn in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? as the title character's developmentally challenged younger brother.

DiCaprio, who has worked with such acclaimed directors as Martin Scorcese, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott and Sam Mendes, is slated to appear in the 2009 Scorcese thriller Shutter Island and will again team with Scorcese in the title role of the 2011 biopic The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt.

DiCaprio is also a noted environmentalist, and this year is expected to break ground on a five-star, eco-friendly resort off the coast of Belize after he bought an island there in 2005 for a reported $1.75 million.

DiCaprio made headlines with a previous relationship with Brazilian supermodel Giselle Bundchen from 2001-2005, and is currently dating Israeli model and 2009 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl Bar Rafaeli.

There were 126 sales in Malibu in 2008, with a median sales price of $2,332,500.
