Medium 3db288d18ec8a5d9b0ffe6d2e365adda Former pop singer Lance Bass sold his five-bedroom, eight bath home at 12101 Mulholland Dr. in Studio City for $3.85 million to Manuela Herzer and the 21 Mulholland Drive One Trust on March 3.

Bass paid $3.88 million for the home in Oct. 2003.

Bass, 30, is best known as a member of the platinum-selling pop quintet 'N Sync. At the band's peak of success from 1998-2002, the group sold more than 56 millions records worldwide and became one of the biggest pop groups in the world before splitting up in 2002. The success of the band's second album, "No Strings Attached," is nearly unparalleled in music history, having sold 1.1 million copies in one day and a U.S. record 2.4 million copies in its first week on the shelves.

Bass also ventured into feature films in 2001 with a role in the romantic comedy On the Line with Emmanuelle Chriqui, which he also produced. He also made a much-publicized effort to earn a seat on the Russian Soyuz space capsule before his financial sponsors backed out, despite months of cosmonaut training and certification by both NASA and the Russian Space Program.

Bass made waves again in July 2006 when he revealed that he is gay in a cover story for People magazine, and scored with his Oct. 2007 autobiography Out of Sync, which debuted on The New York Times Best Seller list. He was also a contestant on the 2008 season of the ABC smash hit Dancing With The Stars.

He is originally from Laurel, Miss.

There were 389 home sales in Studio City in 2008, with a median sales price of $750,000.
