Steven T. Kuykendall and his wife, Janice, have listed for sale a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 6544 Locklenna Lane in Rancho Palos Verdes for $1.295 million.

The 2,875-square-foot house, which was built in 1966, is in the neighborhood of Northwest Rancho Palos Verdes.

Mr. Kuykendall is a former representative for California’s 36th congressional district (1999-2001) and is currently the proprietor of Steven T. Kuykendall & Associates, which is engaged in local, state and federal government relations.

Prior to running for the U.S. House of Representatives seat, he was a member of the California State Assembly between 1994 and 1998. He began his political career as a councilman and later mayor of Rancho Palos Verdes. Before he entered politics, he was in the commercial and mortgage-banking field.

He is a Vietnam veteran and earned his MBA from San Diego State University. He received his bachelor's from Oklahoma City University.
