Mr. Raines is an award-winning meteorologist with KABC Channel 7 in Los Angeles. He joined the station in 1984, and can currently be seen on the network's 4 p.m, 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts Monday through Friday.

Raines was named the "Best Weatherperson in Los Angeles" in the The Los Angeles Daily News people's choice awards in 2004-2006 and in 2001. He also serves as a meteorology professor at Cal-State Northridge. He earned his bachelor's degree from Florida State University.
