Cell biologist buys Santa Monica condo

Elena Revazova bought a one-bedroom, one-bath condo at 757 Ocean Ave. in Santa Monica from Stephen Davis for $835,000 on March 31.

The 753-square-foot Unit #203 is in the Pacific Palms, a condo development in the North of Montana neighborhood.

Ms. Revazova is co-founder and chief scientific officer at the International Stem Cell Corp., (ISCO), which is headquartered in Oceanside, Calif.

She is also the director of research and development at ISCO’s wholly owned subsidiary, Lifeline Cell Technology LLC.

Originally from Russia, she was a leading cell biologist in her native country and the chief scientist of Russia’s national cancer institute before she moved to the U.S. more than eight years ago. She was volunteering in a Virginia hospital before she was tapped to help establish ISCO.

There were 282 condo sales in Santa Monica in 2008, with median sales price of $659,500.
