Actress Natalie Portman bought a four-bedroom, two-bath at 5200 Linwood Dr. in Griffith Park from Lorei LLC on April 30.

Lorei LLC paid $3.05 million for the home in Oct. 2005. The 4,866-square-foot home was built in 1933. New York City accountant Stuart Gelwarg appears on the deed.

Portman, 27, is an Oscar-nominated actress with a career dating back to her work as a teenager in the mid-1990s. Best known for her turn in the hit film Garden State and as Padme Amidala in the second trilogy of films in the Star Wars franchise, she also picked up Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a love-troubled exotic dancer in the 2004 Mike Nichols film Closer.

She's also made appearances in films such as V for Vendetta, The Other Boleyn Girl, My Blueberry Nights, Heat, Beautiful Girls and The Professional, the 1994 action hit where she broke through to the mainstream as a the adolescent neighbor of a professional assassin.

She's slated to appear in the comedy Love and Other Impossible Pursuits later this year and with an all-star cast in the ensemble drama New York, I Love You.

She was born in Jerusalem, grew up in New York and attended Harvard University.

The home at 5200 Linwood Dr. has previously been owned by actors Dermot Mulroney and Catherine Keener as well as Grammy-winning musician Chick Corea.

There were 184 sales in Griffith Park/Los Feliz in 2008, with a median sales price of $885,000.
