Daniel C. Lukas and Anne Beatrice Jarmain bought a two-bedroom, one-bath home at 734 Palms Blvd. in Venice from Leonardo E. Marmol and Alisa Becket for $2.1 million on June 30.

Mr. Marmol paid $1.25 million for property in Aug. 2006.

Mr. Lukas works in the private equity group with the Ares Capital Corp., in Los Angeles. He joined the firm in June 2008 after previously working with the GSC Group and Thomas Weisel Partners.

He earned his bachelor's in government and economics from Dartmouth College.

There were 263 home sales in Venice in 2008, with median sales price of $965,000.
