David Hasselhoff asking $4.195M in Encino

Medium 370dc2f3a3e2992086f4b82b6aa7b627 Actor and entertainer David Hasselhoff has listed for sale his five-bedroom, five-bath at 5180 Louise Ave. in Encino for the asking price of $4.195 million.

Hasselhoff paid $1.98 million for the property in March 1996. The home was built in 1988.

Patricia Hodson of Sotheby's International Realty is the listing agent for the home.

Hasselhoff, 57, is an actor and successful recording artist best known for his television work on the 1980s action hit "Knight Rider" and the 1990s cultural phenomenon "Baywatch." In the former he played Michael Knight, who teamed with a Pontiac Trans Am with artificial intelligence to fight crime. He played chief lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on "Baywatch," teaming with actresses such as Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth and Nicole Eggert to help make the show the most watched program worldwide during its run from 1989 to 1999.

Hasselhoff has also delved onto the silver screen, making appearances in such films as Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie and Click. He can also currently be seen as a judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent," which debuted in 2006.

Perhaps Hasselhoff's biggest international legacy is in music, where he's released 15 albums since 1985. Three of his albums have reached the top of the charts in Austria and another rose to the top in Germany in 1989.
