The Theodore Parker Lukens House
by BlockShopper Historian published Aug. 12, 2009
This 5,000-square-foot Victorian home was built in 1887 for Theodore Parker Lukens, who was Pasadena's first real estate developer and a former two-term mayor of the community. A mountain peak in Southern California and a lake in Yosemite National Park are named after Lukens, who was a lifelong naturalist and friend of Sierra Club founder John Muir.
