Abhijay Prakash and his wife, Jennifer, bought a three-bedroom, four-bath home at 3857 Oakfield Dr. in L.A.'s Sherman Oaks from Anthony and Patricia Yasiello for $894,500 on Sept. 30.

The 2,671-square-foot house was built in 1996.

Mr. Prakash is the VP of business development and strategic planning at NBC Universal. He previously served as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. He also worked at Nickelodeon in business development and strategy and at NBC Universal–Universal Pictures as an MBA intern.

He studied at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Northwestern University and Princeton University.

Mr. Yasiello is the former CEO of Picture Marketing, Inc. He previously served as the CEO of Central Business Credit. He also worked as executive vice president of U.S Bancorp and has been a faculty member of Woodbury University.

There have been 24,839 home sales in Los Angeles in 2008, with median price of $443,000.
