MTV's "The Hills" creator buys in Brentwood

Adam Divello bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 1235 N. Kenter Ave. in Brentwood from Bret M. Nielsen for $1.365 million on Dec. 17.

Nielsen acquired the property for $825,000 in Mar. 2003.

Divello is a television producer and the owner of Done and Done Productions. He is also the creator and an executive producer for the hit MTV drama "The Hills," and is working on the network's current spinoff "The City."

Nielsen serves as vice president for leasing at Caruso Affiliated, a real estate firm developing neighborhood and regional retail centers based in Southern California. He attended the University of Southern California.

There were 287 sales in Brentwood in 2008, with a median price of $1,326,250.
