Christine Pietrosh and Jeremy McDowell bought a three-bedroom, two-bath house at 3013 Gertrude Ave. in La Crescenta/Montrose to Laurent and Dorette F. Migault for $770,000 on Dec. 18.

The Migaults' acquired the property for $740,000 in Jan. 2005.

Pietrosh is a television writer and producer who has worked on the hit NBC sitcom "My Name Is Earl" since 2007. She's penned three episodes of the show and produced eight in that time. She's also worked on the shows "Big Day 2," "Cuts" and "Run of the House."

Ms. Migault works as a first vice president in the appraisal operations at Countrywide, the banking giant. She attended the University of Minnesota and the University of San Diego.

There were 155 home sales in La Crescenta/Montrose in 2008, with a median sales price of $612,500.
