Britney Spears has listed for sale a five-bedroom, six-bath home at 12094 Summit Circle in Studio City for $5.495 million.

Spears paid $6.75 million for the home in Jan. 2007. She originally listed the home for $7.9 million in Sept. 2008. The 7,453-square-foot Italian Renaissance-inspired home was built in 2001.

Spears is a singer who, as of 2007, has sold more than 83 million records worldwide. Her first four albums -- ...Baby One More Time, Oops!... I Did It Again, Britney and In The Zone -- debuted at No. 1 and she was named the second-best selling act of the decade by Billboard magazine.

She has released six solo studio albums in all, the latest of which was 2008's Circus. She made her feature film debut in 2002 in Crossroads, a movie that grossed more than $60 million worldwide. She has also made cameos in television shows such as "Will & Grace" and "How I Met Your Mother."

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 340 home sales in Studio City during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $649,500.
