Carel Hubert Struycken and Tracey Lee Norton bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 1680 Woodglen Lane in Altadena from Kent and Norma Kachigian for $820,000 on April 13.

The Kachigians bought the property for $429,000 in Nov. 1999. The 1,782-square-foot house was built in 1953 at Northeast Altadena.

Mr. Struycken is a film, television and stage actor and is probably best known for his portrayal of Lurch in the Addams Family movies.

His exceptionally tall stature of seven-feet has led him to portray characters that call upon this physical trait such as Mr. Homm in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and as The Giant on "Twin Peaks."

He graduated from the directing program at Amsterdam's film school and studied at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 351 home sales in Altadena during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $480,000.
