Homa Sarshar has listed for sale a five-bedroom, six-bath home at 142 S. Canyon View Drive in Brentwood for $9.95 million.

Sarshar paid $3.25 million for the property in Jan. 2006. The 10,000-square-foot house was built in 2011. Judy Feder and Kelly Kerrigan of Hilton & Hyland are the listing agents.

Sarshar is a published author, journalist, writer, media personality, and lecturer. She is the founder of the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History in Los Angeles. Sarshar is the author of Shaban Jafari, a best seller Persian book in the year 2003. She has also produced 20 video documentaries on exiled Iranian writers, poets, and artists.

She has a B.A. in French literature from Tehran University, a master's degree in journalism from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California and a Ph.D. in journalism from American World University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 352 home sales in Brentwood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.24 million.
