Mel Gibson is an actor, film director, producer and screenwriter. He is known for his roles in the Mad Max and Lethal Weapon series, as well as many other films. He also starred in and directed such films as Braveheart, and produced and directed The Passion of the Christ. For his film, Braveheart, Gibson received two Academy Awards, Best Director and Best Picture in 1995.
