Bassist Michael Anthony asking $2.295M for Glendora 5BD

Medium ba0fc013caa968f9294ac1258d9f8f5f Musician Michael Anthony and his wife, Susan, have listed for sale a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 950 Cloverview Dr. in Glendora for $2.295 million.

The 5,894-square-foot home was built in 1989 in the Glendora Hills neighborhood.

Lori Ceci-Haines of Dickson Podley is the listing agent for the home.

Anthony, 55, is a founding member and the former bassist and backing vocalist for Van Halen, the rock band formed in 1974 with more than 80 million album sales worldwide. Widely known for his Jack Daniels bass guitar and onstage solos, Anthony left the band in 2004 and was replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen.

Anthony currently plays bass for Chickenfoot, a rock group that includes former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani and former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. The group's self-titled debut album was released in June.

Anthony also has his own line of signature food products, Mad Anthony Cafe, which offers items like hot sauce and hot mustard. He also has his own line of Yamaha bass guitars.

He's originally from Chicago, but met drummer Alex Van Halen at Pasadena City College before the joined Van Halen. He married his wife in 1981.

There were 347 home sales in Glendora in 2008, with a median sales price of $400,000.
