Actress Sally Field lists Malibu home for $6.95M

Medium 51ab033077a61bee9d98f5b113cbaf37 Sally Field has listed for sale her five-bedroom, six-bath home at 3655 Mcanany Way in Malibu for $6.95 million.

Field paid $4,822,500 for the property in May 2004. Located in the neighborhood of Las Flores, the 5,964-square-foot home was built in 1958.

Field is an award winning actress who has won two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, two Oscars and three Emmys. She currently stars as the family matriarch Nora Holden Walker on the ABC hit drama "Brothers & Sisters," which is now in its third season.

Field got her start on acting when she landed the role of Frances Elizabeth 'Gidget' Lawrence in "Gidget" (1965), which was canceled after only one season. In 1967, she next starred in "The Flying Nun" and appeared in her first film The Way West, opposite Kirk Douglas. She went on to appear in TV-movies and TV shows such as Maybe I'll Come Home in the Spring (1971) (TV), Marriage: Year One (1971) (TV), "The Girl with Something Extra" (1973), and Sybil (1976).

She then starred on the box office hit Smokey and the Bandit (1977), alongside Burt Reynolds, and in the film Norma Rae, for which she won an Oscar. Other films she starred in include Absence of Malice (1981), Kiss Me Goodbye (1982), Places in the Heart (1984), Murphy's Romance (1985), Punchline (1988), Steel Magnolias (1989), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Forrest Gump (1994).

In 2000, she starred alongside Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd in the film Where the Heart Is and in 2003 she appeared in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, starring Reese Witherspoon.

Additionally, she has appeared in 12 episodes of NBC’s medical drama "ER" from 2000-2006.

Born and raised in Pasadena, she attended Birmingham High School in Van Nuys.
